Help Salt of the Earth fund projects for some of South India’s most disadvantaged communities
Salt of the Earth (SOTE) is a non-profit and volunteer-led charitable organisation based in Leicester, UK. The charity pays one part-time freelancer who takes care of admin and marketing. Every other person in our charity, including our CEO, works voluntarily.
Through the support of our fundraisers and dedicated supporters, our charity has raised over £5 Million for projects in Tamil Nadu, South India. We work with three partner Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in South India to implement projects that best meet the needs of the communities we support.
The charity fund Water, Education, Health, Women’s Empowerment, Environmental, Education and Livelihood projects. Our projects are designed with self-sufficiency and susatinability in mind and give villagers the tools and confidence to support themselves.
Help a family in a crisis, give the gift of growing organic foods, or help a child overcome malnourishment.
Sponsor a child living in rural poverty and help to keep them in education. Child sponsorship also funds health and livelihood incentives in the child’s village.
Join our charity on an immersive trip through South Indian cities and rural communities.
